Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe’s pro bono projects cover a wide legal and geographic swath. The firm counts 29 practice areas on its pro bono list, from affordable housing to women’s rights. Meanwhile the work in its Manhattan office ranges from Sub-Saharan Africa to Oklahoma, with a healthy focus on New York.

The office represents 125 individuals and nonprofit clients, partners with more than 35 legal services organizations, and last year billed more than 22,000 hours of Pro Bono Institute Challenge-qualifying legal work. Headed by Orrick’s full-time Pro Bono Counsel Rene Kathawala, that effort is appreciated by those it assists.
