The indicted ex-leaders of Dewey & LeBoeuf said the trial of junior manager Zachary Warren should be held first because he is a “crucial exculpatory witness” for their own trial (See Motion).
On Nov. 7, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Robert Stolz severed Warren’s case from that of ex-leaders Steven Davis, Stephen DiCarmine and Joel Sanders. Stolz said Warren’s trial should follow the executives’ trial so he could decide how much evidence can be admitted against Warren.
