An Appellate Division, Second Department, appeals panel has reversed a lower court order to release a Queens psychiatric patient after a dispute between a witness and judge.
The petitioner and patient, Peter L., was transferred from a correctional facility and involuntarily admitted to Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in February 2013. In April 2014, Creedmoor petitioned for Peter L.’s continued retention.
