A Brooklyn Supreme Court justice has denied a guardianship fee application, saying the guardian had not heeded the court’s warnings about “abysmal” investment returns on the nearly $1 million account he managed.
Justice Michael Pesce (See Profile), in In the Matter of Jerrel Evans,105020/97, said the fact that attorney and co-guardian Israel Goldberg failed to “acknowledge or address the court’s concerns from 2009 make this level of mismanagement even more egregious.”
