The Administrative Board of New York’s courts Thursday approved modifications of mandatory pro bono reporting rules to address objections raised by the New York State Bar Association and other bar groups.

The Unified Court System did not release the rules approved by the board, which is comprised of Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman (See Profile) and the presiding justices of the four Appellate Division departments. Spokesman David Bookstaver said the new rules would not be issued until next week, at the earliest.
