A dog was loyally protecting its owner when it bit a man who had confronted his master, a judge has ruled.
Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Sylvia Ash (See Profile) dismissed Lawrence Ciliotta’s complaint against Nicole Ranieri after determining that her dog Leo, an English bulldog, did not display the vicious propensities necessary to sustain a suit against a dog owner for injuries caused by her animal when it bit Ciliotta in April 2011.
