A joint venture of Montreal-based Ivanhoé Cambridge and Callahan Capital Properties has purchased 1095 Avenue of the Americas from The Blackstone Group for $2.2 billion. The acquisition is ranked as the second most-expensive office building deal in U.S. history, after the sale of the General Motors Building for $2.8 billion in 2008.

The nearly 1.2 million-square-foot office building, also known as Three Bryant Park, with 41 floors is between 41st and 42nd streets, across from Bryant Park.
