ESTATE OF DENNARD R, Ward (2000) — The petitioners are the parents of the ward, a 33 year-old disabled adult, and were issued letters of guardianship of his person and property on February 2, 2001. The petitioners submit this application requesting leave to withdraw funds from the ward’s guardianship account for the purchase of a car. The ward has consented to the instant petition.

The value of the ward’s property is currently $858,272.43. The ward received the funds currently deposited in the guardianship account pursuant to settlement of a medical malpractice proceeding on his behalf, and he continues to receive deposits in the amount of $6,156.22 each month.1 In addition, the ward is employed at a local hospital and receives an income of $900 bi-weekly. Finally, by decision and order of this court dated October 17, 2014, the petitioners are permitted to make monthly withdrawals from the guardianship account in the amount of $2,200.00 for the maintenance and support of the ward.
