Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman confirmed that it announced layoffs this week but declined to say how many lawyers or staff were affected.
“We had a strong year last year, and we’re looking at markets for litigation that are volatile and unpredictable,” founding partner Marc Kasowitz told Bloomberg BNA, which first reported the layoffs. “We’re trying to plan smartly for the future.”
