An 84-year-old widow can keep her new Samsung dishwasher in her rent-controlled apartment, a Brooklyn housing court judge has ruled.

And a tenant in a separate case will continue to pay $675 a month for a two-bedroom apartment that she has had for 46 years, as stipulated by rent-control laws, a different Brooklyn judge ruled last week, rejecting the landlord’s effort to have the unit declared unregulated.
