Former Bryan Cave attorney Harvey Newkirk was charged Wednesday in connection with a fraudulent bid for the purchase of Maxim Magazine while he was at the firm.
Newkirk, 39, surrendered to authorities on counts of wire fraud, wire fraud conspiracy, and aggravated identity theft for his alleged role in a conspiracy with Calvin Darden Jr., who was arrested in 2014 for defrauding investors into providing $8 million to buy the magazine.
