The former counsel to the Bronx Public Administrator who pleaded guilty to two felonies last year for overcharging estates almost $146,000 for legal services was automatically disbarred in September, according to an Appellate Division, Second Department, decision Wednesday in Matter of Lippman, 2014-10001.
Michael Lippman, who was admitted to the bar in 1969, was disbarred on Sept. 30, 2014 after he pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony, the court said in granting a motion by the grievance committee for the Ninth Judicial District to strike Lippman’s name from the roll of attorneys and counselors at law.
