A magistrate judge has awarded more than $4.9 million to the estate of a longtime court employee who was killed on her bicycle by a postal truck.
After finding the federal government entirely liable for the July 2011 collision that killed Marilyn Dershowitz, Southern District Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn ruled Dershowitz’s estate was entitled to the sum on Friday.
