ALBANY – The New York City Housing Authority adequately notified two tenants that they were going to lose their Section 8 rent subsidies, the state’s highest court ruled Tuesday in reversing two Appellate Division holdings.

The 4-3 Court of Appeals said the city agency followed the notice requirement outlined in a 1984 federal consent judgment, Williams v. New York City Housing Authority, 81-cv-1801.
