District attorneys for Bronx and Staten Island say that New York City’s move to close morgues in those boroughs may negatively impact law enforcement and families of the deceased.
Mortuary services ended Saturday on Staten Island and moved to the Brooklyn morgue. The Bronx morgue will close June 1 and its mortuary services will be transferred to Manhattan and Queens.
