Before sentencing former pharmaceutical executive Gigi Jordan to 18 years in prison for the death of her 8-year-old autistic son, the trial judge noted her lack of remorse and said he struggled to understand her.

“She is a mystery to me,” said Acting Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon, noting that it had been revealed at trial that Jordan was worth $30 to $50 million. “All of her money, all of her resources. There were so many things she could have done.”
