Gabriel Kohn, a former Nassau County Supreme Court justice known for his expertise in matrimonial law, died on June 1 from complications from a stroke. He was 86.

“He will be remembered as a compassionate and fair-minded judge who had a great respect for the law and those who came before him,” said Nassau County Administrative Judge Thomas Adams in a statement forwarded to the Law Journal.
