Edwin Kassoff, a former Queens Supreme Court justice known for his ironclad work ethic and his contributions to guardianship law, died on Wednesday. He was 90.
A lifelong New Yorker who grew up in Brooklyn, Kassoff was an Army veteran who fought in the European theater in World War II. He was admitted to the bar in 1954 after graduating from Brooklyn Law School.
