After years of post-recession stagnant or shrinking head counts, New York state’s largest 100 law firms showed solid growth in 2014.

The total number of full-time lawyers in the private sector’s 100 largest firms, about 21,500 total, grew 2 percent last year, with gains spread across the New York City multinationals as well as the statewide regionals.
