An appellate court has ordered a new trial for a man who was arrested and later convicted of attempted burglary after a police officer found jewelry in the man’s pocket during an illegal search.
Lawrence Henagin, 53, was convicted in 2013 of second-degree attempted burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree possession of stolen property.
