A new surrogate has taken the bench in Westchester County. Surrogate Brandon Sall was appointed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and confirmed by the state Senate last month.

Sall fills a vacancy created when Surrogate Anthony Scarpino retired in January after 14 years as surrogate in a 30-year judicial career to join the trusts and estates practice at DelBello, Donnellan, Weingarten, Wise and Wiederkehr in White Plains.
