The New York County Democratic Committee has formed a screening panel that will be tasked with evaluating new and incumbent candidates for four judicial vacancies on the New York State Supreme Court, First Judicial District.
The screening panel will be responsible for reporting on as many as 12 candidates for the four vacancies up for election in November. The panel also will review Appellate Division, First Department, Justice Barbara Kapnick, whose term expires this year.
