Wary of the time they are devoting to the trial and the density of its content, he often offers words of encouragement at the end of the day and does not shy away from urging the lawyers to speed things up or be more efficient with their time. He’s been known to slow the pace of the trial when the jargon gets thick or the timeline muddled, instructing witnesses to define accounting terms or be more clear about when certain events took place.
