The defense lawyer for former Dewey & LeBoeuf chairman Steven Davis got the chance Monday to address accusations that his client knew about allegedly improper accounting adjustments at the now-defunct firm.

Bit by bit, Elkan Abramowitz, partner at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason & Anello, sought to dismantle testimony that former Dewey finance director Francis Canellas gave last week under questioning by Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Peirce Moser.
