The Appellate Division, Second Department, has accepted the resignation of an attorney who was facing 16 complaints of professional misconduct and who is facing criminal charges for stealing a client’s money.

Frank Adipietro, 51, who previously practiced in Hempstead and lived in Long Beach, faced allegations that he misappropriated client funds for his own use and lied to clients about the status of their legal matters, among other allegations.
