A man who spent the last 24 years in prison for murder was released on Monday after it was discovered that the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office had withheld evidence in the case.

Ruddy Quezada, 53, was convicted of second-degree murder for the death of Jose Rosado, who was killed in 1991 in a drive-by shooting in the East New York section of Brooklyn. Quezada was given a prison sentence of 25 years to life.
