A federal judge has permanently blocked a Long Island town from putting into effect an ordinance that would have forbidden the street-side solicitation of work.
The Oyster Bay Town Board unanimously passed the ordinance in 2009, reacting to day laborers seeking work in a portion of Locust Valley.
