Two New York law firms representing the Federal Housing Finance Agency have received more than $406 million in attorney fees and costs for litigation against banks over the sale of mortgage-backed securities.
Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has been paid about $329.5 million from the FHFA. Kasowitz Benson Torres & Friedman has received about $77 million.
