A former Nassau County lawmaker who was sentenced to three months in jail in June for stealing more than $2 million in client funds has been disbarred.

The Appellate Division, Second Department, wrote Tuesday in Matter of Denenberg, 2015-01826, that disbarment for David Denenberg, formerly of Davidoff Hutcher & Citron, was effective Jan. 21, when he pleaded guilty in federal court to eight counts of mail fraud.
