New York City’s Law Department has named Muriel Goode-Trufant, a 24-year veteran of the department, as its next managing attorney.
Corporation Counsel Zachary Carter said that Goode-Trufant’s work as both the head of the department’s Special Federal Litigation Division—which focuses on civil rights matters, primarily involving police and corrections officers—and its equal employment opportunities officer make her the “ideal choice” for her new role.
