The Dewey jury indicated in questions to the judge on Monday that there may be confusion and indecision in the group.
About an hour into their seventh full day deliberating, the jury asked Acting Supreme Court Justice Robert Stolz whether there is a set procedure in the case of undecided jurors. Stolz said there are no fixed procedures, but they must “give every juror an equal opportunity to express his or her views.”
