Amid speculation of a potential mistrial after two jury notes indicating indecision and deadlock, the jury in the trial against three Dewey & LeBoeuf executives sought to work through gridlock Wednesday.
On the 18th full day of deliberations and after two partial verdicts, jurors quietly considered the remaining charges against ex-Dewey chairman Steven Davis, former executive director Stephen DiCarmine and former chief financial officer Joel Sanders, who are accused of overseeing a scheme to conceal the bankrupt firm’s true financial condition from lenders and investors.
