New Commercial Division rules designed to attract foreign litigants and expedite discovery have been announced by Chief Administrative Judge Lawrence Marks and will take effect Dec. 1.
The first rule will extend monetary thresholds for Commercial Division jurisdiction to cases brought under New York’s arbitration statute. Arbitrations conducted outside the United States will be excepted.
