Growing case backlogs and wait times in immigration courts create uncertainty for clients and ethical and practical concerns for their attorneys, according to participants in a recent New York City Bar Association forum.

A former New York City Immigration Court judge, an immigration judge from San Francisco, a New York City immigration attorney in private practice and the chief counsel for the U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s New York office discussed the issues at a recent panel.
