Prosecutors introduced the second phase of their case against former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver Thursday, calling a real estate developer and law firm tied to alleged kickbacks that Silver received.
Dara Iryami, partner at tax certiorari firm Goldberg & Iryami who testified under an immunity order, told jurors that her firm represented two major real estate developers that had been referred by Silver, and that Silver received fees but did no legal work on the matters.
