Lobbyists for a major real estate developer testified Friday that they met with former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver about rent regulation provisions under consideration in 2011.
Prosecutors called the lobbyists in the criminal trial against Silver to demonstrate that their client, Glenwood Management, influenced New York rent regulations while it paid Silver in campaign contributions and in alleged kickbacks.
