ESTATE OF PAUL EKLOF, Deceased. (13/677/A) — In this pending probate proceeding, decedent, Paul Eklof, died on May 27, 2013, a resident of Richmond County. His Last Will and Testament was admitted to probate on July 2, 2013, without opposition. Wesley William Kropp (hereinafter "Petitioner"), Paul Eklof's long time life partner, was named his sole beneficiary and executor of his estate. It is undisputed that at the time of his death, decedent owned a 12. 5 percent share in two (2) closely held corporations, Clean Water of New York, Inc., and the Eklof Wallin Group, (hereinafter "Respondents") the respondents in this matter. What has been contested and the subject of on-going discovery and motions, is the value of that 12.5 percent interest.

Early on, the Court strongly recommended that each side engage a forensic accountant and those two accountants select a third, neutral accountant, to establish the value of decedent’s interest, as the most efficient, expeditious way to resolve the value issue. Both sides rejected that recommendation.
