Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman announced on Monday a new program to provide free legal information and referrals to low-income New Yorkers at storefronts in their neighborhoods.

The program, called Legal Hand, has opened its first location in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. In the next several weeks, storefronts are set to open in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn and in Jamaica, Queens.
