Hogan Lovells partner Steven Edwards found himself working in conditions earlier this year that are unusual for a commercial litigation attorney used to representing large corporate clients.

He and five of his associates, as well as two community organizers, journeyed to housing projects in The Bronx to interview dozens of residents with asthma, who claimed they were getting sick because of mold in their apartments.
