Gov. Andrew Cuomo has signed into law a bill that sponsors say may encourage more government employees to become whistleblowers.
The bill, A79051/S4628, repealed §75(2)(b) of state Civil Service Law, which required public employees to make a good faith effort to tell their supervisors about suspected official wrongdoing in their offices or departments before reporting the improper activities to outside agencies.
