A federal appeals court refused to disturb the conviction of a disbarred defense attorney for witness bribery and conspiracy to obstruct justice.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled there was no abuse of discretion in a lower court’s refusal to grant Robert Simels a new trial or vacate his 2009 conviction.
