A federal judge has narrowed a civil rights suit filed by Sing Sing prisoners alleging guards and supervisors delayed calling for help when a fire broke out and took hours to evacuate inmates from their cells.
Southern District Judge Vincent Briccetti dismissed some claims brought by 14 inmates who said prison officials allowed dangerous safety conditions to develop and mishandled the evacuation of a housing block on April 18, 2011.
