A law firm that sublet Manhattan office space from the now defunct Dickstein Shapiro has sued Dickstein and its partners, claiming the landlord is charging double the sublease rent for the space.
Sullivan & Worcester said in a suit filed Feb. 17 in Manhattan Supreme Court that the landlord of the Paramount Building was invoking an “attornment clause” which purportedly requires Sullivan to succeed to Dickstein’s lease at the rent Dickstein was paying.
