Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Eileen Rakower said Wednesday she will not block a requirement that some New York City restaurants warn patrons about high-sodium menu offerings.

Rakower ruled from the bench in National Restaurant Association v. New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, 654024-2015, that the new warnings are designed to give health information to consumers, not to unfairly inhibit commerce.
