A judge has let move forward some claims by a former hedge fund manager that Southern District U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara and other officials violated his civil rights in a 2010 insider trading raid.
While cautioning it was too early to say whether “this case is about a simple misunderstanding or something more troubling is afoot,” Southern District Judge William Pauley Thursday dismissed two claims but allowed others under the Fourth and Fifth Amendments to remain for now in Ganek v. Leibowitz, 15-cv-1446.
