The state Office of Court Administration is circulating for public comment a series of proposed amendments to the New York Rules of Professional Conduct, many of them reflecting the changing nature of communications in the digital age.
The words “or other electronic communications” would be added to Rule 1.0(x), for example, to expand the types of “tangible” written materials recognized for purposes of legal communications, under the proposed changes.
