A Hudson Valley attorney who serves as a village and a town justice should be removed from the bench for abusing his position to “bully, harass, threaten and intimidate” court staff, a fellow judge and others over several years, according to the Commission on Judicial Conduct.
The commission determined that Alan M. Simon, a justice in the Spring Valley Village Court and the Ramapo Town Court, was unfit for the bench.
