Robert MacCrate, long-time Sullivan & Cromwell partner and former president of both the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, died Wednesday at his home in Plandome, his son Christopher said Thursday. He was 94.
MacCrate was known in legal circles as a staunch advocate for law schools’ development of graduates with solid legal skills and a sense of obligation to their profession and to the good of society in general.
