The New York State Bar Association is urging Gov. Andrew Cuomo to create a commission through an executive order that would inform New Yorkers about the compulsory referendum vote in November 2017 on staging a state constitutional convention.
The Legislature did not adopt Cuomo’s proposal to create such a commission in the final version of the state budget (NYLJ, April 4).
