Chief Judge Janet DiFiore has appointed Acting Supreme Court Justice Mark Dwyer to succeed her as co-chair of the New York State Justice Task Force.

The task force, which was formed in 2009 to examine the causes of wrongful convictions and to recommend ways they can be avoided, is also co-chaired by Carmen Beauchamp Ciparick. Ciparick was an associate judge on the state Court of Appeals from 1994 through her retirement in 2012 and is now of counsel at Greenberg Traurig.
